“We can no longer wait for the storm to pass: we must learn to work in the rain. ” (Peter Silas)
With the coronavirus causing so many businesses to change the way they operate in order to comply with shelter at home orders, we have new opportunities.
Businesses that hesitated to have virtual workers have been forced to have virtual workers. Businesses are learning to trust the productivity that these workers can have at home. And workers are having to learn new disciplines to be able to not only keep their jobs, but to succeed.
That’s why I really like this quote. Instead of waiting for the virus to be conquered, and going back to doing business the “same way,” business practices will most likely be changed forever.
This is when your innovative and entrepreneurial ideas and practices can help you shine. Instead of feeling victimized by our situation, let’s use it as an opportunity to do things efficiently, better, faster.
Let’s learn to “work in the rain.”
