So you feel awkward selling yourself or selling your business or selling your products? Don’t! Let others do it instead!
Seriously.
Your credibility increases when other people or clients talk about your strengths. When you “sell” yourself, the source is suspect. But when others talk about your capabilities or your service, the credibility meter goes up.
So, how do you get others to talk about you? Here are some tips:
- Do an excellent job – every time.
- Stay positive.
- Ask for referrals from satisfied customers.
- Ask others to help you.
- Help others.
- Show your passion
- Engage in things that are important to you.
- Be trustworthy, all of the time.
In other words, behave in a way that anyone who might refer you or who might speak your praises will be proud that they shared you or your business as a credible resource.
