Wow. I get this question alot. And as a coach, my job is NOT to tell you what your priorities should be–we can’t know your hopes, dreams and desires. Our expertise it is to help you become more clear on what they are or what you want them to be. Us coaches ask a lot of questions to help our clients become more clear on what they want to do, be, and have. The more clear you are, the more your actions cn be focused on achieving them.
Here are some questions to get you thinking:
- If you can picture yourself in your golden years, looking back on your life, what 5 things will you be most proud of accomplishing?
- What brings you joy?
- Look back on the times you felt happiest or most fulfilled, what was present/happening?
- What do you want to be remembered for?
- What legacy would you like to leave?
- What do you want to accomplish in the next 3 years?
- What do you want to accomplish in these areas: health, community, family, friends, work, emotional well being, intellect?
- What fuels you?
- How can you best share your strengths?
Yes, these are “heady” questions. You may hafta go DEEP! This stuff may not come together all at once, sometimes it needs to be massaged. But it can’t hurt to start, can it?
