This quote resonates with me… I remember many times when I felt as excited about someone’s success or promotion, or maybe even MORE excited?

Sharing in others’ successes can be very gratifying.

That’s why I am also sometimes confounded when people feel threatened by others’ successes. It happens way too much, and although usually covert, it adds toxicity to the work environment. Perhaps it is even jealousy? I dunno. I just KNOW that it ain’t useful.

I live on an island. We use this saying a lot… maybe too much… but the saying is, “A rising tide raises all boats.” This applies directly to what I’m talking about!

Let’s revel in others’ achievements. Truly. From the heart AND mind. And watch that tide roll in.
